Erin Murray O'Connell
Erin O’Connell is a partner in the firm and practices primarily in the area of Community Association Law and represents hundreds of homeowner, townhome and condominium associations and mixed- use developments within the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. She assists community associations by collecting unpaid association assessments, interpreting covenants, drafting amendments, resolutions, and other governing documents, reviewing contracts, litigating association related matters, providing guidance, and attending meetings of the association members and special meetings of the Board. Erin’s clients appreciate her prompt and practical advice. Erin is an active member of the Georgia Chapter of the Community Associations Institute and is currently the chair of a committee dedicated to planning an educational seminar and expo to be held in 2017.

In the Community
Erin lives in the City of Decatur with her husband, 3 year old son and baby girl. Erin and her husband, Andrew O’Connell, are both proud “Double Dawgs” of the University of Georgia and enjoy cheering on the Georgia Bulldawgs between the hedges in the fall.
Industry Experience
Prior to practicing law, Erin worked in the insurance industry and was a registered neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. Her unique prior experience allows her to provide practical and valuable advice to Boards and Community Associations regarding insurance related matters and dispute resolution. In addition to practicing in the area of Community Association Law, Erin has taught educational classes on the topics of assessment collection and covenant enforcement to property managers and real estate professionals and served as the Tradeshow Committee Chair for the Georgia Chapter of the Community Associations Institute. As a member of the Tradeshow Committee, Erin planned an annual tradeshow and educational seminar for property managers, board members and homeowners.
